Anyone have an empty Reef Crystals bucket?

Cant find any of my old reef crystals orange buckets that have the lid u gotta tap with the hammer. Anyone have an extra to spare? I wanna order the big box of salt and cant find the orange lid buckets anywhere at a reasonable price.

Any food grade bucket will work. Home Depot also has 5g bucket lids with an o-ring seal

I have some 5 gallon paint buckets I use for water. The tops hammer closed. I live in Davie.

Years ago I went to the deli at Winn Dixie and got some of the buckets the icing comes in. They were free, but very greasy. You have to really scrub them. They had the lids you have to hammer or in my case I would just stomp on them. :lmao: Try a deli somewhere and see what they have. You might have to wait a day or so for them to get some empty ones.

I just like the old reef crystals buckets that were twist tight and u tapped em with the hammer. I can buy a regular 5 gal bucket w lid anywhere for 5 bucks. I just wanted one of those but no big deal

Eddie....totally with you. Love the Reef Crystals buckets. But, if you can't find one, they not only sell the 5g buckets with lids at HD, you can also get a snap-on lid that retrofits to any 5g bucket and actually screws on just like the RC buckets to the point where I need a mallet to to get it open and closed.

I was in the same boat a while back and found the screw on lid in the paint section. It works awesome and keeps all the humidity out.
