anyone have any Medusa/ hair/spaghetti worms

I am just looking for someone close that might have an extra couple that I can throw in the tank to start a population of them.

Suffice it to say that they look somewhat similar to some of the filter feeding sea cucumbers.

I've always heard that even though they can be a little bit toxic that they are so small that it would hardly effect a tank of any real size, and thats its not like if a sea apple bites it in the tank

What she's claiming to be a medusa worm is not a medusa worm.

capncapo what do you think it is then, I have always heard these referred to as medusa or hair worms. I have also heard people call them spaghetti worms but that is inaccurate because spaghetti worms anchor to a rock or other surface

It's a hair worm.

Medusa worms are sea cucumbers and look nothing like that.

Might want to invest in a copy of "Marine Invertebrates" by Ron Shimek. It can be an invaluable resource. By the way, hair worms, spaghetti worms and Medusa worms are all pictured in that book.

well just to point out the fact, since I wasn't sure, the thread is titled

Medusa/HAIR/Spaghetti worms,
Since through the many years of doing this I have heard them referred as all of them.

yes, small ones though, got regular spaghetti worms, and then those kind in pic.

and peanut worms, bristle worms, and one 18 inch long grey bristle worm that i haven't caught yet.
