Hey for your guys superman Cyphastrea where do you guys keep it in terms of light. I have had mine on the bottom of my tank under 2 400 watt ushio 14k's, and it has grown so soo fast, but yet has never colored up. Its like a light clear tan color with translucent pink polyps.

Mine is about 10in from the water surface. Medium flow, It is under a 150W MH XM 20K HQI bulb. The MH is about 3 1/2 in from the top of the water. It's a fast grower too. Maybe your 400w's are too bright for it.

I searched for a long while to find this other thread you are talking about. I could not find it.

If yours is a Metor shower, the colors on them doesn't look so good.
Mine is the first one on this thread. I keep it in moderate MH light which is a 150w 20K XM bulb. I have it in moderate flow too. Maybe your light is too bright.
What kind of lighting do you have it under and how many kelvins? and what kind of flow?

Is my Cyphastrea Meteor shower not a Meteor shower? All (or almost all) you people that have Meteor showers posted, the colors are not very good looking. Maybe mine is just a better color strain? The meteor shower I have, the color is unreal and the pic does it no justice.

Mine is in low light (under a rock overhang) and low flow. Lighting is a 14k 150wMH Phoenix with 2x24w T5s. As with most corals, different tanks will produce different colors. I like mine and its spreading nicely. If Ian comes back to this thread, he might be able to tell if it shifted colors as I got the frag from him.
