anyone have cube tanks?

have a question, would i be able to plumb a canister filter at the bottom of the tank and have it ok? i want a 360 view without showing any pipes.

whats the best out there? are they ok for reef with nano fish? the size would be about 24cube.

sure.. as long as your overflow is right in the middle of the tank. Just surround it with rocks and you have a 360' view without any pipes.

If you're talking about NOT using a sump and plumbing a canister right at the bottom of the tank, then you might have issues with clogging, plus you will lose the ability to surface skim. I'd use a regular overflow IMO.

It would be interesting to see what you can pull of with the 360' plan... keep us posted.
 
The Giant Fish in Encino on Ventura Blvd has three large cubes (one is a reef) with four viewable sides. I have no idea how well the system was designed, but I'm sure you will figure things out once you see it for yourself and see where things make sense and where improvements can be made.
