Anyone have experience building floating canopies?

I want to do an LED/T5 combo for my 40B, and it looks like some kind of canopy is the cheapest waiy to do it--just screw some ballasts and heatsinks to it.

Have any of you guys built one, or know of a better way to get a good T5/LED combo?

I really like Nick's setup (for those that have seen it) but I don't have a big ficture like that to cut up.

By the way, Nick how much did those LED units cost you?

I bought the DIY 90g solder less kit from rapid led. It was 500 something when it was all said and done.
