Anyone have experience with Venustus Angels?

they are wonderful fish , i have had mine over 6 years now but they can pick on some mainly lps corals, getting one , one needs to observe it feeding at the lfs as with this species much of your success will hinge on how it was caught and acclimatised to captivity

I received mine from the Diver's Den section of LA about 6 months ago -- been eating prepared foods from the second I released it. Starting off with a healthy one (( like all fish )) goes a very long way towards it making it. Also, having a decent amount of mature live rock helps a great deal.

Mine does some nipping at SPS, but nothing too bad, leaves zoas, clams and anemones alone, but LOVED an open brain.

Overall it is a fairly peaceful fish, and is the least aggressive of the dwarfs in that tank (( coral beauty and a multicolored )), but it isn't a wimp either.
