Anyone have long spiral wire corals?

Here we are:

Mine is growing well and has good tissue and polyp extension. But it seems slow to thicken up the skeleton in the area that has grown since I got it. Is skeletal growth slow with these things?

Here's mine. It's about 6 in. long in this photo, but another 1.5 or so inches longer now.

I don't have a picture of mine but it looks like yours Gary. Mine is also getting thicker as it grows but the new growth is straight. I wonder what it needs to spiral again? Does flow dictate its growth pattern?

guillory, It's my understanding that strong flow is needed to keep it from growing straight. Mine curls but not nearly as tightly as it is curled at the base.

That is just beautiful, glparr! I'm thinking I'm going to have to go look up the info on this coral. Keep the pictures coming folks! Thanks Moses for starting this thread.

Here are 2 of mine, I have a new blue one being delivered tomorrow.

Good flow is the key to having them curve, but mine are not tight curves like the base.
I have a red one in my husbands office tank, but he is not looking all that great. I will be bring him back this week and nurse him back(hopefully).
