Anyone have luck with barnacles?

I used to have 3 tanks of local stuff from the water around NYC. I had lots of barnacles, but then again, I did water changes using water right out of the estuary. They were cool to watch. Try feeding it some filter feeder foods like phyto-feast or something.

I have one huge barnacle that came on some oysters that are acting as the substrate for some hairy mushrooms that I bought. The whole thing has been in captivity since November, and the barnacle is still alive (its shell is the approx. size of a grown-up's thumb, from the top joint up.) I have some small gobies and gorgs in w/ it now, and feed cyclops, cyclopeeze, and phyto.

I had a trio living in a galaxia colony. They lived for over two years.

Anyone tried Gooseneck barnacles?
Loads of them get washed up on beaches in Florida attached to floating debris.
They have huge cirri and I wonder if they might take large food like cyclopeez

Goosenecks seem like they'd be hardy if you could feed them. I've seen them covering lumps of tar like petroleum smelling stuff floating in the water in Florida.

I've had a barnacles or to on a few SPS that seemed to live for a long time.
