Anyone have or want to build a 36"x12.5" canopy? :)

Hi all!

Well... I fear my original source for a canopy is not going to be able to do it. He hasn't gotten back to me, anyway.

I was wondering if anyone had one they'd like to sell. I'm thinking probably not, but it can't hurt to ask.

Or, if anyone is handy and feels like building one, let me know. I'm not needing or looking for anything special. To be honest, I'm even considering one of Glass Cage's canopies, but I'm not 100% sure just yet.

yea i saw those too steve....i might get one whenever i set up the my 33, and they are reasonably priced....and i dont need anything fancy.....however, i need to find one for the 46 bowfront first

Wow... those aren't bad at all.

After researching a bit, I think I'm going to just build one out of some pine boards from Lowes. I asked my parents for a Lowes giftcard for Christmas... I have a friend who is really good with wood, so I'm going to ask him to help me, just to be safe. Should only be around $50, tho, I hope, and it will be natural so my wife and I (mostly my wife... ) can stain it to match our stand.

I really appreciate your offer, but I made a deal with a guy on Saturday.

However, we do still need to do that food group order and have a huge "making food" day. You still up for it? I've been checking Drs. Foster and Smith lately (they're out of the big packs of plankton until mid Jan... which stinks... but oh well). All we would need is to source some cheap frozen sea foods.

I had mine built extra tall for the 90g bowfront. It's very reasonably priced as well.....

It only cost me around $350 I believe, with it shipped....It's been awhile back so I don't remember exactly how much I paid for it, but it was a good deal. The only thing you would have to do is paint the inside once you get it which it's no big deal.....I can not find their web site, I forgot to save it.....I did post details on it when I first set it up over a year and a half ago.....I'll PM you the contact person's e-mail addy, that's about all I have for info, I think I have the phone number somewhere as well.....
