Anyone have rotifers near Huntsville?

I have 2 day old A. Ocellaris eggs on a tile but haven't set up rotifers yet (didn't expect eggs this soon). Is there anyone in the Huntsville area with rotifers to sell/share?

I have both rotifers and green water that I can give you. Beaslbob in Harvest also has both.

I recommend that you set up a breeding tank with green water first and add rotifers just before you move your hatch so that you can avoid an over abundance of rotifers, which can cause hypoxia.

When the fry is a month old, you can use a sponge filter.

Great, thanks. I plan to use mostly multi-algae paste to maintain rotifers but the advantages of co-culture with live nanno make maintaining some live worthwhile. I've had this pair of Ocellaris for 16 years in a reef tank prior to moving them recently to a 20 gallon for breeding so I'm not sure how viable the eggs may be although the male did take the first batch two weeks ago to 'term'. I'll PM to arrange to get the goods. Thanks.

Live phyto keeps the breeding tank water cleaner. Although the tank still needs a partial water change periodically, the frequency is much less than keeping fry without green water.
