anyone heard of this website

key hole limpets are awsome i have two and they really mow down anything... i think mine may ever eave coraline?

by the way, when a limpet is attached to something it is very hard to pry them from it, for being so small they are really strong.

i am not sure that cleaner clams really do well in small systems. they might be good for a 500+ system though. I just dont think that there is enough stuff in our small systems to sustain them along with all of your other filter feeding inverts (live rock)

Darrick, are you aware you can buy cleaner clams at the grocery store cheaper than probably anywhere else? You just have to put them in a bucket of tank water until they "spit". Some don't make it, but many do.

try some in your tank, they will improve water quality, filter out nitrates wayne most people who can't keep nitrates down can achieve low nitrates by adding clams or even cleaner clams.

Is this true?

"Use caution when considering placing Limpet snails in reef aquariums that contain SPS corals as these snails have been known to sometimes graze on certain species of Acropora, Montipora and other similar species."

I know that. Re-read my post. I'm saying you can buy live cleaner clams at the grocery store for cheap.

Darrick,

If you have an acrylic tank, I wanted you to know that some species of Limpets can actually scratch the tank walls with their "tongue".

I've had the same black keyhole limpet for almost 7 years now, in three different tanks. However, a rarely see him, maybe a few times a year.
