Ok i dont know why it posted it 3 times but it also wont let me delete the other 2 sorry...:(
Cleaned up the multiple posts ;>)

btw: BTA :)

TYVM for taking care of that for me. He is coming out more and more have to wait and see if he likes where he is at right now.

If you just got him, it is not unusual for them to refuse food for the first few days. Let is get settled in a bit first (a couple days) and then try again with small (pencil eraser sized) piece of silverside.

Is that the "sunset" or "sunrise" bta that are propagated in Colorado? If so, it is a nicer picture than most the ones I have seen before.

Yeah we did just get him he is already eating. I was giving my clowns some krill and decicided to give it a piece and it ate it so i gave it a second small piece. Ive been tryin to figure out what type of BTA it is. This morning it is open more and lookin good and still sitting in the same spot :D

When I have heard discriptions of this particular color variety, they are said to have a green base with orange tentacles and yellow tips. Until hoodrat's picture, most of the pics I had seen were either brown with a hint of orange or green bases with copper colored tentacles (which looked like a normal cheap rbta that fades to brown in your tank to me). Hoodrat's picture is the first one I have seen that actually matches the original discriptions of the "sunrise" bta.

Last I heard the prices ranged from $300 to $1200. I don't know how many were actually sold at those prices. There were being sold from the original owner and through a LFS in Colorado Springs (I think?).

The thing about BTAs though, is once you sell clones of your unusual color morph, the people you sell them to can start propagating them and undercut your price. :D

The guy i got it from has sold some on the net and he has been propogating them for a long time. He has a bunch of them and they are all brightly colored like this one and some are huge. I might have a pic that i took about a year or more ago with his clowns let me see if i can find it. he is looking better today out waving around. :D

Ok sorry for the quality of this pic was a old camera and not a very good pic but the only one i have. I may try and get some better ones once i get my camera back after the wedding.

That is similar to some of the pics I had seen before. For some reason it is often difficult to capture the true colors of BTAs with a camera.

I'm glad yours is looking better everyday.

well and that is in a tank with 2 vho's sinc ethen they are all in another system. Not to mention that was the sweet ancient 35mm. I will try to get pics this weekend with a diff camera. Do they normally like alot of current or a little?

WHOOOHOOOO came home from work to see my male maroon in the new anemone. But now its time to figure out if the anemone likes it or not he is closed up a little but not even close to all the way so we will see i guess. I will try and get a pic posted after dinner :D
