Anyone in Davis have frags FS?

Howdy. I hear the CHP won't let me ride my bicycle on the freeway, so I'm pretty much stuck in the city of Davis, CA most of the time. I've had my tank set up for a few weeks now, so I'm looking to pick up some inexpensive frags. Softies, monties, zoos, whatever. I wish I had something to trade, but all I have is some sad looking xenia and some gsp. All of my sps are growing at home in the bay area!

Anyhow.. I'm really just looking to meet some fellow reef enthusiasts in this town, see some tanks and maybe pick up some things so I'll have something to trade on down the line when it grows. Post or PM, doesn't matter. Thanks guys.

Hey Tristan,

MARs is a great place to meet some people interested in the same hobby.

There's a few of us reefers on the UCD campus. You'll have to come by and visit some time. I'm not sure if we have anything readily available for you right now, but we can keep you in mind as things grow out.

Are you an acamedic counselor at UCD? If so, I came and spoke with you a while back and made a comment about the nano in your office. Sounds good, thanks! I need to renew my MARS membership as well  .

You can ride the bus to Sac for free. Bus 42 B will pick you up at the MU. Check www.yolobus.org for schedules/routes.

Also, you can ride your bike to Sac. I've done it many many times. :D On the north side of the Causeway on I-80 there's a bike lane.

Tristan - what type of lights do you have - I am sure I can get you a few things and can deliver them from Dixon to Davis. Can you handle sps or mainly just softies? I'll give you some for free if you register for the WMC conference. (www.WMC2006.org) Pam

I've got 2x175w 20k XM's over my new 40gallon tank. It should be enough light for sps, but I'm guessing my tank is too new to keep sps. what do you think? I don't really have any coralline growth yet. I hadn't really thought about attending the WMC, mainly because the price is high for me :( , but after reading through the schedule of speakers I will have to think about it, I don't want to regret missing it!

Tristan - it might be a little early but I can bring some more hardy ones buy if you want sps. Or I can bring a mixture. What you save in buying corals will pay for your WMC cost. PM me your phone number and we can talk and set up a time. Pam

Hi Tristan,

I have a frag of pink palythoa with yellow centers in my tank that you can have. (however, it is kinda brownish more than any other color because its been mostly in the shade for the past few months)

My tank is in my office at UCD. PM me if you want to drop by.

Richard

Hi Tristan,
I have some zoa's, shrooms and xenia and maybe some others if your are interested. I live in west Davis. LMK

Imagining you riding all the way to Sac is sheer comedy. :D

Well imagining me doing a lot of things is probably good for a laugh. But hey, tall skinny guys are the most efficient pedalers. :D

Those cyclop-eeze work out okay?

haha... ya, I love my reef tanks, but not enough to bike myself to sacramento. :D there appear to be quite a few people with good stuff in Davis anyway! thanks to everyone that's replied so far.

As far as the biking goes, when i was a rower the asst coach rode his bike to the port of sac over the causeway every morning, even sunday if we practiced then. As far as frags go, my frogspawn is taking its time to split off far enough to be fragged but im sure i could send you a frag of that when it does, ill remember to pm you when it does, what year are you at UCD? im a 3rd year in psych.
