Anyone in or around Carlsbad 88220?

I'll be moving in with my fiance, who now lives in Carlsbad, so I was just curious as to how many people here on RC are in or around Carlsbad
Any good fish stores within the area? My biggest fear is moving out there and having to mail order everything for the tank(s) ><

Unfortunately, it looks like your best bets might be El Paso, Odessa, Midland, or Lubbock, if there's nothing in Carlsbad.

I know there are clubs in El Paso

There's at least one decent store in Lubbock. Ask around on those forums if you don't here anything from people here.

Lubbock isn't too far from Carlsbad, so I will look into Lubbock's reef club when I finally get out that way.

Lubbock also has a one decent SW/FW store. I think it is called Mr. Aquarium. Some nice people there too.

I unfortunately am in Carlsbad. Don't know if your here yet, but there is one small pet store...yes a pet store. She does have a very small marine section which consists of a whopping 5 tanks. The large tank is 180 gallons I believe and that is the show/coral tank, the other 4 smaller tanks are for all the other live stock and sometimes live rock.

Personally I think she is over priced but she does get in some nice stuff from time to time and if you remind her she will order in for you.

Orders come in on Thursdays so it's always best to check that same day.

El Paso does have a couple of nice places in which to buy some good stuff, but you gotta be up for the drive.

Glad to see someone here from Carlsbad! I was beginning to think no one was in the area since most seem to be from Albuquerque. Too bad there isn't much of a selection out that way. But on the bright side, maybe it would be a good opportunity to open a store of my own someday... it would probably be best in a more populated area though.

Unfortunately, I have a couple more semesters of school to get through yet before I move to Carlsbad, but maybe we can do some trading some day.

I live in Carlsbad!!!!!! LOL, Im like the only person down here with a tank though, so good luck finding a club, LFS. Ill be glad to hear from you though.
