I was going to place an order tonight, thank god I didn't! Looks like I'll just stick with buying from bestbuy and pay the few extra bucks to not get ripped off

Well I just googled the ccicameracity.com website and came across this.

Bascially the scam is they are selling "gray" market cameras that are under warrnanty in foreign countries. The cameras might be legit but if something is wrong you have to ship it to who knows where.

On top of all this, after you place an order a high pressure sales guy tries to sell you the "american" camera at a much higher price of course, adn accessories etc. Some people are saying its a classic bait and switch as they never actually have the said price cameras in stock anyway.

Cameta camera is online but has a great reputation...no rip offs from them.
All USA warranty too
Some online vendors sell european (black market) equipment which will Nikon wont warranty in the USA for any reason.

Cameta does not do this
