Anyone interested in a BRS group buy?

Great, glad I was able to set this up too. I got all the dry chemicals I was needing for a long time. I should be good for a while now. Hope everyone else is getting stocked up with the great deals.

I thought that the group buy would automatically give us Free Shipping...but at check out they are charging for shipping....is this what everyone else is encountering?

I called BRS this morning..unless you are placing an order of $175 or greater you will incur shipping costs. The explanation was that each member of the group buy was having their individual order shipped to a separate location. I don't particularly agree with this since collectively we are probably spending in excess of $1000 so I felt we ALL deserved free shipping but I lost that arugument.

Placed my order and now the waiting begins. Thanks for setting up the group buy, it was perfect timing.

Yeah, I brought up the same question in the BRS forums and was told the same thing. Hopefully they listen and will change it in the future.

Only way I've ever seen a vendor offer free shipping is when the order goes to one location. When I did the ReefGeek buys they would allow members to direct ship if they paid the shipping, free shipping was only offered to the single address.

So I got my first box yesterday, and wouldn't you know it both my Mag sulfate and Mag chloride gal containers were busted on the bottom. I called them up and they sent me two brand new containers of the dry goods. A bit of an inconvienece since I really needed the stuff and most of it is sitting at the bottom of the box but I'm glad I did not have to argue to get it replaced.

I'm worried about what I ordered too. RODI filter canister which is brittle clear plastic, very possible to crack in this cold if mishandled by UPS.

I ordered my RODI from them a long while ago (5 years) And I remember that thing being wrapped so well in bubble wrap it was amazing. It should be find, Besides the plastic containers they use are so thick you would really have to hammer them to break them.
