my buddy has about 5 of them he needs to get rid of...$20 each..they are taking over his tank...i believe most of them med to large size...he and I will be at the reef meeting...he lives about 5 min from where the meeting is...let me know if interested...
what's your idea of med. to lg? and are they pure red, or red base with colored tip..? send a pic of them to only1firefighter@msn.com ... I might take a few if I know what they look like..
after looking at them today most of them are rather large..large i mean when fully opened they are about i would say 10" plus?..i will see if i can get some pics and post them...oh..yes they are all red not just the tips...
sorry for the delay everyone but my buddy didn't have a camera and had to borrow mine... but here are some pics...don't mind his glass looking dirty..he gets a little lazy sometime...
No problem it was my pleasure, these were nice healthy specimans. The pictures did not do them justice.
No disrespect with your identification but these are deffinately rose bulb anemones. Ritteri generally are not known to split like these do and they actually showed their bubble tips when I first introduced them to the tank. The color was also a giveway as Ritteri are not known to be this color. Ritteri are also very aggressive aneomones and I doubt he would have had a fish left if these were really them.
No biggie just wanted to FYI you on the ID.
Your friends tank was also very well kept and he was great to deal with.
thanks for ID yeah I kind of thought maybe they were but wasn't sure...i never seen them when they weren't expanded out, so i never seen the bubble tips...i'm not sure where he got ritteri from...i think he bought the original from John's but i'm not sure..all know those things were splitting like mad...gl with them! if they keep splitting like that you can make some cash and become a RBTA breeder..lol
