I am starting a 137 gallon predator tank and I kinda wanna keep one do they take frozen foods ? There is a LFS near my grandparents that can order them in .
I know the danger so dont need you all telling me they can kill you I know some people still will though

Also what is the smallest and or least deadly species I would be ok with keeping a false stonefish to

They can kill you...

I did some research and I couldnt find anything on least venemous or smallest, just that the internet does not reccomend this fish.

Well why shouldn't we tell you it can kill you? It is a lot easier than you might think to accidentally bump into something in your tank that you are trying to avoid. There are plenty of other scorpionfish to keep that aren't a threat to your life.

When I was a teenager ,I had a Stonefish,I purchased at one LFS.I was 14 or 15,(1970) and happened in to a new place that had just opened .I was looking for something unusual for my predator tank, and I saw a little Stonefish. He was about 3" and I remember,it had Ruby coloured eyes.I had no problem making the purchase, and the man told me it was poisonous.I already had a Lionfish in the aquarium so I wasn't a total novice...
I will say one thing however,I didn't realize it had a deadly toxin, till I read this thread.I never was stung, and I must say, that was a good thing. It was a very boring predator, actually(except those Ruby colour eyes were cool). He just sat in one place trying to look like a stone.Very docile until a meal swam by,and then before you could count to ,two, the meal was gone.It only ate live food..

ive kept quite a few. stonefish, scorpionfish, rhinopias, bearded ghouls, devilfish, waspfish I love them. stonefish are quite easy to get onto frozen silversides or pilchards anything really thay don't move much at all and unless you are really dedicated you will probably find them to boring.... yes their spines are venomous but youd have to be pretty inept and totally careless almost a complete imbecile to get jabbed.....lol

Cause I already know all that I know how dangerous they are and most threads asking about these fish are mostly people saying they can kill you
