I'm buying a 75g nondrilled tank and I'm really sceptial(SP?) about the overflow box and relying on a siphon since I'm renting. Is it something I should just not worry about or should I really find someone to drill the tank?

Pet Mart only orders them drilled, will not drill yours. Anyone know another place locally or close enough for it not to be a hassle? or selling a drilled tank? :D

You could probably call around to glass and mirror shops. They can drill holes in mirrors and glass that you buy from them so im sure you can find 1 that would drill the tank for you.

I've previously owned a 55 that wasnt drilled and the power went out on several occasions and it didnt flood, But of course it realyl depends on how your plumbing is hooked up and other things like that. But their safe as long as you have all the physics worked out.

The bottom of a 75 is made from tempered glass so I dont think anyone will try to drill it. Because it will most likely crack. But a LFS over in Brandon Aquarium Creations could have it drilled in the back. I have seen a few people with a drain on the back wall. I am not sure what they will charge.

off the subject: Gimplar, talk about a mad house for me trying to register for the Fall!! I just got out of the Army last month so the earliest I could attend orientation was last Sat(they wouldn't let me register before hand even though I'm transfering in as a senior). I just spent the last 3 days sitting infront of the puter waiting for people to drop classes I need. Its done now, but my schedule is nuts..I'll be back and forth all day unless I can clean it up the first week.

Anyway, that explains why I've been posting so much and probably why I have this erge on upgrading tanks! I blame it all on USF!

Sinful,
USF has a policy if your not in class the first day your automatically dropped so anybody who wants to register for that dropped spot can do it like at midnight or something. So do not panic if I could not get my class I needed I would just try and register for it that night at midnight I had a 100% sucess rate

What Frodo said is true, I wouldn't panic at all, i'm only registered for 9 credit hours but im going to sign up for 15 Credit hours. People ALWAYS drop classes, so dont worry schedules will clear up as long as your on top of things for the first day or so.

I'm not panicing, but in my situation I have to be registered full time ( in classes going towards declared major) before the army will start paying for it..lol. So that had a big part of me sitting on the computer the past 3 days trying to get in classes. I got lucky and got inthe last 4 courses I needed for core(yes I'm starting another major after already getting 100+ hrs towards another and transfering in as a senior!..haha). Now I'm basically relying on people dropping to get a more accommodating schedule. You guys live close to campus?

As you get closer to your major, most likely less people will drop. Like frodo said, if students dont show up they will be dropped immediately. So, your BEST bet is to show up right on the first day of school and have the teacher add you to the attendance sheet incase somebody didn't show up.
