Anyone know about C.A.D. Nano Aquariums?

Hi All,

Since my Elos system, I been window shopping around for a rimless nano tank. I ran across a site in Arizona that sell these tanks made by C.A.D. Aquariums and was wondering if anyone has one or seen one. Hows the build quality and setup? What lighting/bulb does it use? It shows the different models use 150w HQI or T5's. What about crafsmanship of the glass?

Also another company Finnex used to make a 22G glass rimless tank but disconued it:

Does any know of any other rimless nano companies?

Thanks!

i bought a tank from them 2 weeks ago, the tank is really nice, i purchased the 25g cad lighting tank with the 150hqi and the t5 bulbs. it was shipped pretty good. that was my biggest concern was it arriving cracked. the person i talked to was helpful with giving me tracking number and telling me the date it will be shipped out.
A+ help and service

i have the 9g and the 25g is coming soon. you cant beat the all in one with the seamless bowfront. its a beautiful tank, and my 9g has been running great also.

If you have an ELOS system you will appreciate these tanks. I own two of them for my freshwater planted setups but they would work well for a small saltwater setup with the Mini Tunze reefpack, etc.

I ordered a 60-P and a 30-C, best silicon I've seen on a mass produced tank. Pics of my ADA tanks out of the box.

I asked ADA about drilling the tanks here's the reply I got.

"Thanks of the inquiry.

We cannot drill the ADA tanks, nor should they be drilled. "

I'm tempted to do it anyway. I really like their tanks. ;)

I've been checking out the CAD tanks as well. They look pretty nice, just not as clean as the ADA imo.

How's the light fixture? Are they fan cooled?

The ADA tanks are nice too! I have to read more about them.

Nice setup dastratt!

How's the surface skimmer? Is there a good amount of flow into the filter chamers?

The 150w HQI and 6 T5's are both impressive.

They sell ADA tanks drilled also you might have to check the main Japan site. They also have ones with low-iron glass or even better tanks that are cast as one piece meaning no silicon seams at all. I'm not sure on the sizes though, I know Amano does marine also but their primary focus is freshwater stuff.

one of my lfs has planted ada tanks, they look awesome.

IMO, if you want the all in one, with basically everything you need go for the cad.. if you want a little DIY go for the ada?

I went with the DIY version through CAD. No lights, no filters, nothing but the glass and I gotta tell ya I don't think you can buy a tank that looks cleaner and classier than that. It's frameless like the ADA but the rounded front corners are such an awesome feature on the CAD it puts it in a different league. Plus the base piece of glass that has been routed to really create a finished look is also a great feature. So in conclusion... comparing glass bare tank to glass bare tank I don't think you can find a nicer tank than the CAD. DOn't get me wrong though the ADA tanks are awesome.
