I'm going to be in the Los Angeles and Long Beach area looking for a house for rent, does anyone know any good realtors in the area that they can recommend? Any and all input is very much appreciated, thanks!

Man, the house next door was just up for rent, sorry it didn't last long. If your in town, just get a Sunday paper and drive around. I have lived in Long Beach most of my life and love it. Stay out of North Long Beach if you can, East Long Beach, Lakewood, Cypress areas are nice.

thanks Ken, much appreciated! I've heard that theres some deceptively nice places out there that are actually in like horrendous areas, good to know where the good ones are actually at :D

You should call a few realtors and ask. Some of them also deal with rentals. They can also point you into the better areas.

see miguel

i was trying to tell you what konadog said :)

funny to see you in this forum. :) lol

LA is the hub ! :)

gotta narrow down your choice, LA to long beach encompasses like 30 linear miles.

if i were you, i'd split the difference and look for a spot in manhattan or hermosa beach.

thanks Wilafur, I did just that actually, and found a nice place in Gardena

Konadog, thanks much again for your help, much appreciated!

Gardena, cool. And with four days to spare!

So when do you move?

Your that much closer to Jeff's and ReeferMadness now :D

I'm moving in on the 21stish, what's Jeff's? I'm more content to be that much closer to the wholesalers now... :D

also, anyone know of any stores that have recently closed in the area? usually they have nice commercial gear pretty cheap...

ah, Jeff's seems pretty interesting, I'd never heard of it before, gotta make sure and check that one out, thanks!

It's a warehouse style store (It's in a warehouse :) ). Figure out what days he get's his shipments in and you can usually find a good deal or two. It's a great place to get LR, as you can pick your own from a few large bins.

i have not been down that way for sashimi but you should try out shinsengumi. they are a yakitori/robata/ramen joint. small chain and i think they have a couple locations in gardena. seriously good ramen.

also, gardena has a large japanese population so i'm sure they have some rocking sushi joints in the city.
