Anyone know anything about the Sicce in tank skimmers?

Well I may have spoke too soon about the Fluval Sea skimmer working well. Maybe I should have remained silent about it, but it was making a ton of racket this morning, so took it out, cleaned it and put it back together in the tank and now it looks like it barely doing anything and making racket but much less. Of course petco is sold out of them, but they do have the Sicce in tank skimmer in stock, of course it is $70 more than the fluvial one, but I have used Since pumps before and they are reliable and do not act stupid after 6 months.

Any time you clean a skimmer it has a mini break-in period. It can be expedited by drying anywhere foam will contact with a paper towel.

So I should let it alone for a day or two and see if it acts properly?

Definitely. If it was working before and you haven't accidentally knocked it out of adjustment it should return to normal skimming.
