Anyone know how to add a leak detector to a Reef Keeper Lite?

This last weekend, the plastic seal on the output of my UV sterilizer decided that it didnt want to hold any longer and failed. The result was a loss of around 3-5 gallons of saltwater in my stand, and on the carpet in front of my stand. I want to add a leak detector and have it hooked up to my RKL, but I cannot find anyone on line who sells a leak detector, yet all of the sites selling RKL say that one can be added. Does anyone know any options for this?

DOes RKL have any switched inputs? if so you could use something like a waterbug and program your rkl to send out alarm, text, email etc if the circuit opens/closes. If DA doesnt sell one for you unit, they are all pretty much the same.. and alot of makers out there..

these devices should work if you have an open switched input, sorry not very familiar with RKL, I have reef angel, its pretty simple to setup on my controller, just assign an outlet telling it if the circuit completes, then shut down pumps, send emails, sound the alarm, etc... if open then it does nothing but waits.

you could use just the breakout wire and a diy water sense circuit. google DIY Water Sensor Alarm. its on another forum thats super in German.

I have 4 switches, 2 are being used and two are open. I will look at wiring in something in an open switch. Can you just get the plug part of the switch with the wires and add an alarm?
