just noticed these two this morning, they seem to disappear during the night and only come out for the day. First one you can see good

and here is the 2nd, this one is very hard to see. It has a little ball base and tenicles that retract sometimes making it look only like a ball. There is also something underneath it with what looks like a radar..lol, it turns almost identical to a radar and will retract when a crab or somethign walks by. Any ideas?lol

If the first one retracts when touched but doesn't retract into a hole but into its body (a ball) i'd say it's some kind of cnidarian (coral or anenome), most likely aiptasia (which is bad to 95% of all reefers) - Do any of these pictures match?

If it retracts into the rock it could be a worm or serpent star.

I can't see anything in the second picture but I'm sure it must be a small featherduster - does the "radar dish" look like it's cloth and get sucked into the rock or a tube. They're actually worms and they are good filter feeders.

That's my take anyhow.

it looks exactly like the picture with the big white ring around it..lol. Thats exactly what I see and how I would describe it. The first picture that is. It seems to move around a little to, I touched it with a scrapper and it retracted to the hole, then about 15min later it came out through another hole in the rock

the bottom one only comes out at night and looks alot like one of the aiptasia pictures. Do aiptasia's only come out at night?
