I thought this was Cyano so I treated the tank with Red Slime Remover and no change so then I treated the tank with Chemi Clean and still no change. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Does it have any sort of texture to it? At first glance it just looks like red Coralline algae, but there are certain types of macro algae that can look like that too though.
It has a little bit of fuzziness. It's not smooth like my purple Coralline algae. It isn't bothering any of the coral but it is growing on a fair portion of the rock... only the rock not the sand or glass. The CUC isn't touching it either. The just go right over top of it.
This is as close as I can get. I don't think the small bubbles have anything to do with it as my power heads are on opposite sides of the tank and draw air bubbles down into the tank sometimes. Thanks for the help.
I looked at pictures of Red Turf Algae and mine does not have the stringy type roots or anything like that. It does have a fuzzy appearance to it but it is very close cropped to the surface.
Research showed very little choices in CUC that will eradicate this. The most common CUC mentioned for it is Mexican Turbo Snails and Urchins none of which I have in the tank.
