anyone local do custom acrylic work?

I need a couple of overflow boxes built. One isn't a big deal, can probably do it myself, but the other has to be water tight, and if the price was right I wouldn't mind paying for some piece of mind.

I was planning on building this sometime, but I don't have a router to make the smooth edges like what is shown on the site. Just something to think about.

Yea, I have - and I love doing that sort of thing (relatively simple DIY stuff). But when it comes to an overflow, there is too much that can go wrong if my work isn't just right, and considering all the water I've had on the floor from recent DIY projects, I don't want to risk this one.

I've built a few of those and I can warn you, the design is EXTREMELY sensitive to how accurate your siphon channel is. If the acrylic isn't totally flat and level, or if you make it too big, it accumulates bubbles far too easily to be safe. And it's a wide enough siphon that anti-bubble measures, like aqualifter pumps, don't work well.
