Anyone local dosing vitamin C?

Yes, I have been for a few weeks now. I had a patch of zoas that were melting away that have now started to come back. The biggest surprise was how much more my Acans have expanded since I started.

The only drawback is that it will create a slimy substance on any mechanical filtration that will slowly clog it.

Where do you guys get your Vitamin C from. I read that you can only use certain types of vitamin C

I have a patch of zoas that have not opened for a few weeks(all the others are fine)
Maybe I should try to dose it with that stuff also.

If you look at the dosages necessary to see any imporvements, VitaChem won't do (good for food though). Look at the amount of VC in there. I am dosing close to 14,000mg in my 100g system/day.

If you are seeing slime issues, drop your dosing by 1/2 & wait a week before raising again, so your skimmer can catch up.

BTW, if you do order the sodium ascorbate from I-Herb, there is a $5 offf coupon code: LUL789.

I have been dosing 2 teaspoons in a 650 gallon system for about 8 months or more now. Sodium Ascorbate. I dose daily, although there are days here and there that I forget to do it. I dont ever see any of my zoas closed up anymore. I'm definitely sold that it is in some way beneficial.

Now someone/company just has to come up with a monitor to measure it in the water so geo can come up with a reactor and continuous dosing method. ;)

axia55...which Sodium Ascorbate do you buy at iHerb? There is two main choices, and if I try this I want to make sure I'm using one that someone locally has had success with.

NutriBiotic, Sodium Ascorbate Crystalline Powder, 16 oz (454 g)
Now Foods, Sodium Ascorbate, 3 lb (1326 g)

As directed by Pufferpunk in the big VC thread, I am using the NutriBiotic, Sodium Ascorbate Crystalline Powder, 16 oz (454 g).

I will try the other stuff cause your I dont see any vita C at all in the vita-chem and the lable says"more active vitamin C than any other vitamin"
Im not having any problems with my zoas just seeing if it would help with color!!
