Anyone local have experience with Life Reef Skimmers?

I have a couple of them, have been sitting my shed for quite awhile. They are built like tanks, but a bit prone to overflowing.

As far as how well they skim. Do you think they work better than deltec or Reef Octopus? What size are the ones that you have?

I think they are 30" and 24". They skim okay. I have a deltec ap1003, which skims a lot better but is a tad bit oversized for my tank .

The lifereef skimmers are very simple mechanically so you aren't replacing $200 needle wheels though!

Yeah the one I had ran on a mag 9. They are like tanks but they do take those energy hog pumps.

From what I read you can use any pump so I was just going to use a Jebao DC pump.
