Anyone looking for Rotifers?

Awesome! I'd like some. Do you happen to have the directions for culturing them? At WMC I spoke with reed mariculture, I think you just feed phyto, and harvest half everyday. I think you also use a bubbler and you don't need a light. Can't remember correctly though.

Okay, I'll bring some. Michael can answer any questions about how to culture them tonight. See you there!

Oh yeah, you should bring a little jar or something. I think we will only have one container.

Thats a pretty simplifed version :D

We continually dose phytoplankton (Rotifer Diet HD), and chloramx. We have a flow thru system (new water introduced every second). We use 50ul screen to stop rotis from "flowing out" with the waste. We dose pure O2, plus use normal air for the bubbler. We harvest around 60% daily. We also clean out our rofiter floss daily. Oh, and not to mention, we take counts of eggs per adult, adults per ml, and ciliates (when present). We typically get 5K per ml, most people get 500 per ml.
