anyone do this with success?? without screwing it up?

i can easily attach it to the mega flow return nozzle with 3/4" ID flexible tubing, but i want more flow through it.

hi there beaniebeagle,

i hope someone answers your query too, or hydor chimes in to this. Id be really keen to figure out how to push more flow through my hydors without them conking out on me.

cheers,
ian

I'd just be happy if they kept working for more than a few months. The teeth on the inside of the black rotating nozzle wear out in no time

Hmmmmm. I've had one running for quite a while now. I'm pretty bad at remembering for how long though. This is actually its' second tour of duty, so it's been quite a while. About the only thing I can say is that they only cost sumthin' like $10 or $11, so Its' not the biggest hit to the wallet. I know these things are spec'd out to a maximum waterflow, so pusshing them beyond that may have something to do with some folks' results with them.
Without the thing in front of me, I'm wondering if there's a way to increase the size of the outlet? Possibly with a dremel tool?

The only mod I have done is cutting off the huge black disc...not needed if you aren't using their sponge
