Anyone order from marcorocks.com?

Hello all I was wondering if anyone has ordered from Marco? I was thinking of starting a fowlr tank.. Figured this would be a good base to start with.. Just wanted to see what peoples experiences were with him and his rock..

If not him can anyone recommend someone else local or through the internet as a good source for nice dry rock..

I ordered my base rock from reeferrock.com I will have about 45 lbs for sale within 2 months if you can wait. Those rocks sit in my current tank for about 8 months. Not dead rock though .

I have 30 lbs of hirock for free. They sit in my garage for a while. They don't look as good as reeferock IMO.

Can't find their web site. Probably they are out of business.

It's a little bit pricy actually. I would suggest you getting LR from local reefers who tear down their tanks.

fishnfst, I am communicating with marcorock now. How many lbs of base rock are you looking at? Maybe we can combine shipment and save on freight. I am looking at the neighborhood of 200 lbs.

They are a great company. I have purchased base rock from them many times. It is very very light and lots of nooks and holes. Makes aquascaping with caves and dens very easy.

Less than 3 days from order to arrival.

i ordered 25lbs from marcorock, i was incredibly pleased with the order =) nice large sized rocks. Compared to reeferrock, almost the same, but less "glassy" and sharp.

I just spoke with Marc/Marcorocks. He is willing to put together our order and ship it in a crate vs. UPS as it will be cheaper on the freight. Some people PM me for their interest to join. I hope we can get about 600 lbs. total and we will save on freight. Let me know how much total lbs you will need. I myself looking at about 200-250 lbs.
