I have tried to get an answer to this on another forum but to no avail..my anemone looks like it's turned inside out (I don't mean the mouth is inverted..I mean his whole body). He went from about 7-8 inches to the size of a pingpong ball.

The last thing I did was put matrix carbon in my canister filter. Is he trying to regulate himself or did I kill him?:eek1:

It's an LTA...I've had him about 6 months..today he was really huge so I can't figure out what caused this. I did a waterchange today and he inflated but tonight after I put in the carbon he turned inside out...basically it looks like a round ball with a small margin of tentacles visible. He's not expelling xoanthelle..just inverted.

I would think it will probably be fine. I have rose anemones that will do this every once in a while.

Have you seen them do this before they split?

No, I have just noticed them doing it every once in a while and never really worried about it.

I haven't seen this one do that before...hopefully it's a good sign and not bad....I was thinking today that he was doing really well..his mouth is closed tightly and he inflates really big during the day.
