It sounds like you're pretty set on trying them out, and in the end it's your experience and opinion of them that matters, so I would say go for it! I don't think you'll be dissapointed at all. Like I said earlier I have them and like them but it does add a degree of challenge in getting the most intense color and growth in many SPS. If nothing else I think as a community reefers should be looking to push the envelope and be successful without having to bombard our corals with thousands of watts, skimmers the size of small vehicles, and electricity bills that equal our mortgage payments. But that's a topic for another day
