anyone replaced the Tunze Osmolator Metering Pump??

Just got myself a replacement pump.

On my old pump the pipe that takes water from the top up resevoir into the tank was black and pushed into a soft black part of the pump.

On the replacement pump my existing pipe appears a touch too wide, and the pipe on the pump is now solid and white.

Just wondering if anyone else had changed the pump and if they had the same problem and solved it??

All they changed was the fitting, we used to glue two hoses together to make a reducer and now it is a molded white plastic piece. The fit should be the same. The hose just pushes into this fitting.

It really does not push in at all, tried trimming the start of it to make it easier to get in, tried heating it, tried cooling it, still no joy

Eventually I've used a piece of airline tubing which is a fraction too small, ie pushes in easily, but seems to work ok (fingers crossed).

Try cutting the tubing at an angle so you have a smaller point to push in to get it started.
