On your size tank, I'm curious as to the production of each skimmer. Does one end up being more productive or is one skimming wetter than the other? And if so, did you have to adjust them that way or did they naturally start producing dryer/wetter just due to the skimmer tank size design? That is actually a very recommended way to keep a tank low nutrients and I've seen a lot of talk about having one wet and one dry.

Chad, contrary to Roy's suggestions I have actually read that not only is it recommended against running two (2) skimmers but it can actually be very dangerous. Furthermore, the danger to the tank and its occupants cannot be eliminated by merely pulling one of the skimmers but you must actually give the Deltec Skimmer away to another reefer - ideally a local attorney.

I wouldn't waste any time getting on that because I would hate to see anything happen to your tank!

roy the one that is running wet and off my over flow does most of the work (ap600)



the mc 500 pulls about a half of a cup a week (but is nasty smelling)
