Still thinking about switching to T5's and would like to know what others are running. How many bubls, and what type bulbs.

Also Rich is looking into Buying more T5's for his tank if anyone has a 75-120 gallon (4' tank) let me know what they are running as well.

I like my T5 HO fixture and have outstanding coral growth. I have some SPS and LPS as well. My acros are growing but the polyps are only out during the night (any suggestions) I placed them on the sand bed to see if that changes anything but so far nothing. I don't have any nitrates that are traceable with the test kit I used and phosphates are at a safe level as well.

lonnie i ordered a aquactinic tx5 fixture from premium aquatics only 5 bulbs but with individual reflectors it is very bright, but there is a 7bulb fixture called constellation its 48" and a 72". they also have a 48" solar flare 6 54 watt bulbs that are overdriven to 80 watts.

210 gallon all glass tank with 72" constellation t5's has 14 36" bulbs. 2 rows of 7 bulbs.

I think that the fans in the aquactinics fixtures are very quite as well.

What! That will be the second price increase of this year. Don't get me wrong but the consturction of the hood is not a 10 out of 10. When I was going to order mine I decided to wait because it was a little before christmas of last year and thought it might get a little more abuse since that is the time of year that everyone is shipping eveything everywhere. The first of the year rolls by and they stopped selling direct and the price increased by 60 dollars if i'm not mistaken. Maybe i'm missing something. I got it...its that darn crude oil :mad2:

If the demand is there and they know it they will increase the prices as much as they can get away with. That is until they notice a fall in sales because people have switched to something else...

I'm running from back to front

ATI BLUE +
UVL Super Actinic
GE 6500K
ATI BLUE +
ATI Aqua Blue Special

Ryan

out of these bulbs which ones are really blue? Stupids reef have some that say Blue but are 11k and over power the Blue in the tank way to much IMO.

I like the 14k look

So first I was thinking stager 4' bulbs, but now I'm thinking running 10 3' bulbs. I hate planning for lighting...
