Anyone selling any LED panels?

I'm really getting tired of these Pacific Sun LEDs that I have, so i'm looking to get something different. Tank is a standard 48x24x24 120 gal. Let me know what you've got up for sale.

If you feel like building something you could put together a really nice diy light. Could do something like,

x4 Bridgelux Vero 10 90CRI 5k whites
x8 Luxeon 8up royal blues
x8 Luxeon Limes
then a good amount of violets.

Or if you don't mind something that only has two channels you could pick up some LED pucks from nano box and wire them to some drivers.

They are extremely nice lights, but Pacific Sun has stopped working on software for them, and it needs some serious work.. I guess they stopped supporting them, I have no idea why since they are from 2012. Other than the software being terrible, every time there is a brownout, the internal computer wipes the firmware, it goes into boot loader mode, and I have to open up the light and jumper two pins while i'm telling it to flash new firmware. This wouldn't be a problem in any of my old houses/apartments, but in this house the power goes out a few times a week. This means i'm removing the lights and fixing them every month or so.

I have tried using a small UPS to keep the lights up, but it has failed twice already. I'm pretty sure the draw is larger than the backup can handle, so now I need to find a reasonably priced UPS to avoid this from happening.

It's just the little things. Plus I like shiny new things.

I stand by DIY. Use a storm controller, or an RLL controller. An RLL controller + RLL drivers would be really awesome. Then add some really nice Bridgelux and Luxeon LEDs and you'll be setup for success. As you said, an arduino would be awesome but writing lines and lines and lines, then more lines of sketch would be quite time consuming. The typhon is an arduino based controller with some cool functions i.e sunrise/sunset, 4 channels of dimming, min voltage (if you wanted to run your royals as moon lights.

I have an 18 inch sink with around 65 3 watt crees. Violet, blue, royals and cool white. Storm x controller. Carbon fiber cover. Pwm drivers and coraluxe boards. Went a different direction with all the same components minus the violets. Working great. This diy can fitr up but the assembly nerfs to be finished. $450

Sorry to hear that LiquidCache.

they were on a 1 year schedule for releasing the software (mostly). You could always do what I did and ask on their forum - http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=680 when the next release is.

Don't be shy in listing out what is broken and needs fixed in the software too, what would be nice to have. You may have to be the tester though - not too many people post about the r2's any more. The last time they updated - it was me and waffle - and that was it.

That kind of stuff (listing requirements, testing software) comes naturally to me as it's what I do for a living. Other's experiences may vary.

oh - you know what - the internal computer probably has a little watch battery somewhere in there - it keeps a small amount of power in case of brownout - make sure to give that a look see and replace it (if you can find it). That might solve your issues with erasing the program.

Oh I've been there, and I'm not the only one who keeps asking. Shitty part about it is that now they've released what they call SMT (square matrix technology) led upgrade panels for the triton r2s at the tune of $300 each.. I asked on the forums what the advantages were and nobody's responded yet.

This is exactly what I was going to say. Based on what the op described, it sounds like a hardware issue and couldn't be resolved by software.
