I've herd good things about them, alot of people seem to be happy with them, "good bang for the buck" kinda pump, I also see there is a recall on pumps 1&2
With pumps new like these its better to wait them out a few months so the bugs get worked out... Just like the tunze nano-streams... They are finally coming around for the better
I'd like to possibly try them in another month or two

Would you leave the cage as is? Seems like, once a little coraline algae etc grows on it, it would greatly reduce flow - in and out (since that is the same cage),
Would be nice not having cords hanging over and it has it's own propellor!

I have 2 1s in my 37 gal cube. I took out my Tunze - it was too loud. I think it might have been a defective one, but I found a mod on the BRS forum - so as long as I believe it is broken I am going to experiment on it. I love the new Hydors, I wish I had tried the 2s though. They are wicked quite!

did you have a tunze nanostream ?
They do have some problems ya know... I have two 6025's both have been replaced by Roger at tunze... Take the cover off, if the whole shaft comes out, then it needs to be replaced, it shouldnt be noisy and my guess is your shaft is messed up..
Tunze has a sponser forum here on RC... you should look into that, Roger will take good care of you..
PS: I modded one of my 6025's, WHAT A DIFFERENCE !!!!
Also the mod doesnt affect the warranty, only the $13 cover that ya mod...
