Seriously, I've seen one work in a tank and they work great. Only thing you need is pressure. The more psi the better they work. I built my own using some pieces of PVC hose barb fittings. Hard to explain but one of these times I'll take a picture.

Anyway, penductors (aka eductors) do a great job if you have the room and pressure.

nope... i've seen them in action @ a LFS... they had 2 in a 400g. They really move water.

Alta Loma sounds far but if you want to come get it its yours for $15. $5 off and I've only had it for 5 hours.

They use the output of your pump through a venturi to move more water then the pump would alone.
