Anyone up for another 135 Thread?

Actually he left the valonia in there for me.

Actually he left the valonia in there for me.

That way my Valonia and his Valonia can play nice together.

The 90 is sold, and I have $420 cash, and $85 in gift certificates. However, Leonard (Dad) has dealt a major blow to Operation Simplify (downsizing :)). He says no. Quoted, from a Jewish man who thinks he is Buddhist, "Grasshopper, you must learn to use what you have." Then I said, "I am Dad, I'm just buying three 20L tanks." Then Leonard, "I don't care. [expletive] the stupid fish tanks! I'm worn out. What corals will work well in your tank now?" Me, "Well the anthelia is going crazy..." Leonard, "Good. Learn to like anthelia. Make an anthelia farm."

This is a dark day for the super nano...:sad1:

well look on the bright side you can still get that tang and with the money you have you can almost afford better lighting and instead of 1 mandarin you could have a pair:D

Well I've devised a plan somewhat. Since he's being such a little [expletive], I can manipulate. If he won't let me do my brilliant nanos, then he will assist with my "learning to use what I have." This means help paying for Tunze, and my pendants. My tank still sucks though. The system that is, not the inside. Hm, maybe he will compromise somehow...

What if you do one nano on the side with your choice of theme and plumb it to the 135 and try to have your dad pay for that one. I was really liking your nano idea to bad the your dad didn't agree with you.

And I'm sure that with the money that you have and what your dad will pay for will get you everything that you need to get over the big spending period. Once you are done with the main cost like the tunze and lights and filtration it will be alot cheaper to keep your tank looking good and easier for you to enjoy.

Well, another factor is that he doesn't live at the house where the tank is. He lives in an apartment a few blocks away. So technically he can't tell me what to do at that house.

you have a very strong point but i dont think he would be happy if you went ahead with it:lol:

We only agreed on one thing, and I think that one thing is what made him disagree. We don't have a dedicated circuit/GFCI in my room where the tanks would go. We do however have that in the basement where my tank is now. That was installed specifically for the tank. So he doesn't like that we wasted money on that. What we agreed on is that that would be a problem; no GFCI in my room. Maybe I can find a way to setup the system in the basement to take full advantage...I will have to look at the area.

crud, i didnt get page 23 noooo!

Haha it all mine.

Anyway it was only a option. I would want to put all of my money into the 135 and make it as good as possible and have the best environment for its inhabitants. And it will look better if you only focuse on one tank rather than two. I would concentrate on the 135 big time.

yea i would go for it, if you do it in the basement are you going to put the desk in the basement or build a "nano entertainment center"??

I don't know if you do decide to do the nanos and the 135 it will be alot more money to have 4 tanks running at once if you do decide to run 4 tanks. You will have to buy lights for all of the tanks and the livestock will cost alot more if you want to fill up all 4 tanks.

No, not the nanos and the 135, just the nanos. Putting all the money to the 135 is a good idea too...however, all the money in the world couldn't change what I'm unhappy with, without swapping tanks and houses or something
