I think no one use PC with corals today. If you want to go with fluorescent light your choice should be T5. But in general many of us switched to LED due to economical reason.

People still use PC lights. I have them on three of my Red Sea max 130d. I also have them on one of my 120 gallon tanks with metal Halides. I agree with Danil. I am getting ready to retrofit my Red Sea maxes with some AI Sols when I get my new heat sink. I would go with T5 or LEDs. You will be happier and so will your corals.
I had about 2000 or more 125 Watt and 130 Watt power Compact bulbs 420 nm 10K and 6700K all brand new in the boxes. They were all given to me so I was curious what I could do with them. But yes I am well aware that they are no where near the quality of lighting that LED's and T5's are. Which is what I run even though MH do grow corals like crazy. Anyway had four trucks of random weirdo's of craigslist finest show up and take them all. So they may pop up again around town lol. Keep in mind they got them all four free.
