i personally have not used this an i dont think i would. best thing i can say would be to compare the MSDS and actual ingredients of that to a reef epoxy. until then i wouldnt use it in my tanks. is it really that much cheaper to chance it???

i get the stuff from home depot, aqua mend is the name of it. works great. also if you could take the things out that you want epoxy, you could use super glue. get the loctite extra gel...works great!

Does it say that it can be used on potable water systems? If it does, then you are good. However, I looked at the loctite plumbers epoxy, thinking that it is used on water lines, but it said that it was not safe.

Get the aquamend from HD, not much difference in cost.

I will bet that I have used at least 6 tubes of the loctite epoxy. Never had anything bad happen. It does mess with my skimmer for a few hours though.

I've gone through about 5 tubes of it and never had a
problem with it.

That's good to hear anyóne else

Most of these two part epoxies are similar, but you should check and see if there is metal in the mix.

I can never find aquamend at HD

I can't find it either. Is it with the glues and sealants in the paint section?

I am really not a fan of gluing a reef together. IMO you should build it from the substrate up so it stands on its own. I can't count how many times I have taken part of the reef apart to do this and that or clean up the build up of detrius between the reef rock.

Now if you are putting together a column of some sort then I would have no problems using that glue. I haven't used it myself but I have read of its use many times on here.
