I understand that all the "stream" powerheads need the 7095 or 7091 controllers due to the cetrifugal design, but the turbelle 2002 and 4002 seem to be built different in design, can these type classic pumps be used with a normal type"relay" wavemaker or will it bring harm and negate longetivity in the long run..

seems a shame just to use them on a normal wave maker the great thing about these pumps is they can be speed controlled as such put them on the right wave maker and they offer more then just on off

I hear you on the speed control, the 7094 and 7095 will control the speed of the motors on the 2002 and the 4002??

Windgod, I got your PM too. The 2002 and 4002 do respond to speed control when you have the right adapters they use an asynchronous motor and it is controllable- very controllable, you will find they can run anywhere from a complete stop to full throttle- the controls are more like 0-100%

And, yes these are OK for on and off cycles too, a normal wavemaker should not hurt them.
