Anyone using odyssea 250 DE halide bulbs....

Just wondering if anyone out there is using odyssea brand 250W DE 20K halide bulbs? If so what do you think? They are so inexpensive & although I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for I'm also always on the lookout for a good deal.....if your using them & you have pics I would appreciate seeing what they look like....thanks in advance.....

I have used all there bulbs and have never had a problem... I have a 75 gal sps tank and have seen good growth out of them. I have rec switched to an 80 dollar buld ( having a brain fart ) and am thinking of going back. My growth has not been the same. I did change the oddessa bulbs every 5 to 6 months though. just because they were cheeper. it never hurts to try them out. Whot would you be out 40 bucks. Then you always have a backup if another bulb burns out.

If the bulbs are $40 and last only 6 months, they are more expensive than a high quality bulb like Phoenix which runs around $50 and lasts a year.

Odyssea is a stepping stone IMO and isn't worth the small amount of money.

They are $20 each, I'm really wondering if anyone knows their PAR value.....

? I'm not asking about the fixture, I'm asking about the bulbs, 250W bulbs....
