Anyone Using PMK Par Monitor with Apex?

Is it better than buying or renting an Apogee par meter? Is the sensor an eye sore inside the aquarium?

Why would you want to leave inside? I just use it to measure the PAR and then take it out.

Because I noticed it comes with a small piece of rock for hiding and my understanding is some people watch the PAR levels constantly. Otherwise not sure what the point is of making an Apex brand par monitor when you can get a different par meter like Apogee. But perhaps there lies the answer. That it might be better to get a non-Neptune Systems par meter

i know ppl that have used this in the past, and they said it was pointless to leave the par meter inside the tank. Algae and stuff will start to grow on it and obviously par will slowly reduce with time.
