Anyone using these lights?

i was looking at the 2x150 hqi w/20k with the t5. i not concerned about the t5 bulbs, they are cheap enough to replace right off the bat if the color is bad, but, if the hqi's are of bad quality or not really 20k that would cost some money

The only issue I can see is the reflectors on the MH setups. They are using the hammered reflector which negates the advantages of DE lighting to a degree. It will probably work fine, but it won't perform as well as a PFO mini or ROIII.

Well I have one of the jebo skimmers I havent used it yet but its very heavy duty and well made..I also have used their 110 watt pc set ups, I ended up adding a fan to mine, about the only complaint I have is the reflectors suck on them..Other than that they are a good buy specialy for something like fuge lighting or a QT tank or hell even if your trying to set up a reef on a budget..

Those halides though wow you cant beat that deal even if the reflector isnt the greatest..

Im going to try out the T5 set up and the 24 inch halide set up..

I notice that their T5 are 21 watt. If I wanted to replace those with 54 watt T-5 HO bulbs would that work or would I need a different ballast?

the 54w t5's not only would need a new ballast, but, they are longer so they would not fit the fixture the way it is set up

i may have to try one of those skimmers.. its gotta be better than no skimmer at all, which is what i currently have...

i am all set on lights though t5 ho all the way...

notice i said HO......

i've looked at thier site and i agree the prices are unbelivable. i have not done any business with them, but would give them a try if i heard of someone with first hand experience with thier mh's

This makes me leary are they gonna jack up the price next year when stock comes in?

"Specifications subject to change until item is in stock.
This product will be in stock on Monday 03 January, 2005."

I have the 48" CP light fixture (2-55W Actinic 03 & 2- 55 w 10,000 daylight bulbs) for $69.00. Very pleased with it. I added my on fan in canopy & also added my own moonlights from Autoillumination. I have had no problem with product.

I would like to hear from anyone that has used their skimmers.

Maybe I'll drop the $125 or so and buy one of everything for my 25g and 'test' em..

$50 lights
$50 Skimmer
$25 Heater

Guinea Pig?

Think i should try the Pro-Pak at $49.99? Where is the pump? Maybe you need extra stuff?

Or the striaght up skimmer for $35.99 (I can compare it to my Seaclunk)

I see whats going on.
This stuff is all legit equipment.

Companies have stuff made in China by a Chinese company
This company then makes all the tools for the original company
and also make a copy of the tools for them.
This company then sells the copies at a fraction because
there is no middle company to add cost.

Understand?

mini4x

on the propack skimmer, you just need to buy one of their powerheads to run it:

Lifetech Powerheads

They suggest the 150 or 220.....both under $22

I have seen the propack in action.....just as good as a CPR HOB skimmer and 1/3 of the cost

Where can i find more info on the Jebo/ODYSSEA line? I googled it and came up empty. I would like to find a manufacturers homepage, or another company that sells the 2X150W HQI fixtures to compare prices. I saw alot of the PC stuff on eBay but no MH stuff. i would like to see the ballast and how big it is.
