Anyone want in on Specular aluminum for DIY reflectors?

thats what I currently use and my 250watt DE phoenix bulbs are brighter then the SE's i have compared them with.

I will look but my retros I am using now, we should be able to use the mounts from them.

Ken do you have plans for different reflectors? Like lumenarc, lumenarc 3, luminarc mini?

My new tank is 5 foot by 30 inches, I am only going to continue to run the 2 MH's, and the hood is only going to be 13 inches off the top of the tank so I am not sure what type of reflector would give me the best coverage.

Do we have any resident reflector experts? I am thinking do to it being only 13 inches off the water a mini might do better for clearance and give a wider coverage.

I finally ordered this today and have one sheet of it that isn't spoken for. Anyone interested? Panaboy and reeferhead have the other 2...

if you cant find another guy i will take the extra one too i have two 250 halides so i am sure i can find another place to use one. let me know when you want to do this. i will have to drive down. its almost two hours to the river. i have a rivet gun too and some vise grips for bending sheet metal. do we need to pick up some stainless rivets?

if you want one you can have one. if they work out well i may be using three over my tank. it just depends on how i like this DE fixture. i just do not think it is going to put out the light that three SE with good reflectors will put out.

I'm looking for the plans as well...Ive got ones from the DIY area but I want the 19x19 sizes and all I can find is the 14" version. Kent any chance you have the plans for the 19"ers?

Could you just scale the plans to make them larger?

a smart person probably could....I thought about it but scared I will screw up one of the cuts and mess the whole thing up. theres just a lot of different angles to look at. I've heard of having the image blown up at kinkos but I'm not sure what %% to get it done
