Anyone want to attempt to raise seahorse fry?

Hi all, I recently set up a dedicated seahorse tank and bought captive bred SH from Ocean Rider. I asked for 2 female but I got a male and female. Well Adam and Eve,(I dubbed them) wasted no time in courting. Now I think Adam is pregnant and due to have his brood in a week or two. I am not set up to raise fry at this time but I hate the idea of humanely disposing of them. I will give them to anyone who wants them for free. Captive bred seahorses are fairly pricey to buy, ( I paid $229 for my pair). I will say that raising fry requires diligence and dedication but I can give you good instructions on how to do it. They are H Erectus and the fry eat baby brine until they are weaned onto frozen mysis at around 3-4 months old, so no fooling with rotifer cultures is necessary. Let me know if you are interested. Chances are if you are unsuccessful the first time my ponies will give you another chance.

Dawn, pm me when they are ready. I'll set something this weekend. Do you have any extra macro you could part with? I'll see what Elmer's has.

Yes, I will pm you when the fry arrive. I have some feather caulerpa and cheato you could also have. Elmer's has gracilaria and ulva, I was just there a week ago and got some. Thanks Jesse.

I may be interested in trying!! I will have to look and see what I have laying around to make them a home.
OK, I don't know how many babies Jesse wants, but from what I understand my pair of seahorses will probably mate again the same day he gives birth so I will have multiple broods. If that is the case there should be plenty to go around.

I'm sure we could split them up. My tank will be ready today. bk, Elmer's has quite a few macro algaes. I picked up a bunch yesterday.
