Anyone want to do a group buy on Oceanic salt?

I'm not certain yet, but I figured we would see how many people are interested and try to get the best deal for the amount of total buckets we need. Those that are interested just list how many buckets you want. I'm sure the more buckets we get, the better deal it will be.

In case people are wondering why I chose Oceanic, it was the brand most requested at the last group buy. I use half Oceanic and half Instant Ocean, so next time we could see how many want to do a group buy on Instant Ocean.

We can try to do this on a regular basis from now on alternating brands. If a group of you prefer different brands than these, then feel free to start another group buy for that brand since the best deals have to be the same brand salt.

+1 for the IO. (I just need plain old salt.)

I don't need all the other trace minerals of Oceanic; although I do remember liking the stuff. Problem was, my CA jumped off the scale, after I added the Kalkwasser Reactor + the Oceanic salt.

Maybe we could check prices and availability of each and possibly do a group buy that would include both brands. I also use half each of Oceanic and IO, so I would buy one of each myself if the price was right.

Fair enough. We will only be taking numbers of buckets for Oceanic and Instant Ocean. I will create a new thread for the Instant Ocean group buy because some people will overlook this thread if they do not use Oceanic.

If we do the order by the 9th, then I'll try to arrange for us to pickup the salt by our next meeting which is June 27th. The LFS that we end up purchasing from probably doesn't want the salt sitting there for any longer than that.
