Hey Everyone,
I had a traveler on some Lalo live rock and he has grown relatively fast. I would say it has grown 3x in approximately 3 months, roughly 5" in diameter now. When I first described him, the owner of the local shop said it was probably a mushroom. I told him it had tentacles that would stretch 3"-4" at night and he asked for photos. I showed him the photos of daytime and night and he said I should put some pictures online.

Thanks.

I don't believe it is a Ricordea. I also pondered the thought of it being a Rhodactis, but it moves to different rocks often, and has extremely long tentacles for its size that grab silversides when i feed my eel???

whatever it is its awesome. I've never seen a rhodactis with such long tentacles. I am betting on some sort of anemone.

Looks like a cornfire anenome to me. I work in my LFS and have seen many like this. If not Cornfire then a rock anenome maybe. I would leave it in unless it starts getting close to some of your existing corals. Cornfire has a nasty sting.
